The Standard of Excellence student books are now available with the Accompaniment Recordings! With the SOE ENHANCED version, each student book comes with two
CD’s that contain accompaniment recordings for every full band exercise in the book. Students can play along with the fully orchestrated accompaniments on the CD’s, or load the included Assessment Software (IPAS) into a computer and receive a performance score based on note accuracy, rhythmic accuracy and note duration. All that is needed for the Assessment Software is a computer and microphone. Standard of Excellence Book 3 is a continuation of the strong
performance-centered curriculum of Books 1 and 2 It is also an intermediate level band method that introduces students to
Western Music History. Students play music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic periods; and 20th Century; they learn performance and technical skills within the appropriate historical context.
